GWR Reports Expansion of Aurizon Zone

May 1, 2008

GWR Resources Inc. (TSX Venture: GWQ) is pleased to announce assay results from two further drill holes from the Aurizon zone of copper gold mineralization within the Company’s Lac La Hache project area. Results are as follows:

    Hole No. From (m) To (m) Length (m) Copper (%) Gold (g/t)

    AZ08-68 34 138 104 0.31 0.41
      Incl. 64 118 54 0.39 0.50

    AZ08-78 20 118 98 0.25 0.93
      Incl. 64 98 36 0.44 0.91

Hole AZ08-78 exhibits marked gold enrichment in places and all high gold values were cut to 5.0 grams per tonne, reducing the overall weighted average gold grade in this hole by about 0.2 grams per tonne. Gold enrichment does not appear to be a supergene, or secondary, effect but to reflect the hypogene, or primary, gold grade.

Assays were carried out by Ecotech Laboratory of Kamloops, British Columbia and a quality assurance/quality control programme conformable with the requirements of National Instrument 43-101 was maintained at all stages of sample collection and analyses.

Drill hole locations can be viewed on the Company’s website at www.gwrresources.com.

The Company has now temporarily suspended drilling of the Aurizon zone until a Ministry of Mines permit is received to allow further drilling of the zone. However, drilling is continuing on the Company’s Peach 1 zone, located to the west of the Aurizon zone, where initial drilling in late 2007 discovered relatively high grade copper mineralization (see News Release dated November 23, 2007). The current drilling programme at Peach 1 is designed to ascertain the attitude and possible size of this zone of mineralization. In addition, the Company now holds a permit to undertake a drill programme on its Peach Southeast area, an area located a short distance to the southeast of Peach 1 and where high copper and gold in soils coincide with anomalous magnetic and induced polarization responses. The Peach Southeast drilling programme will commence as soon as preliminary drilling of Peach 1 (15 holes) is completed.
