GWR Options Man-Prime Cu-Au property, BC: drilling to start immediately

November 19, 2008

ARMSTRONG, BRITISH COLUMBIA - GWR Resources Inc (GWQ-TSX.V) (“GWR”) is pleased to announce that it has expanded its mineral property interests by entering into an option agreement with Candorado Operating Company Limited (CDO-TSX.V) to complete an aggressive exploration program on the Man-Prime alkalic porphyry copper-gold property, located 36 km north of Princeton, British Columbia, Canada. The large (155 km2) property hosts several copper sulphide (chalcopyrite, bornite) zones within potassically altered alkaline/calcalkaline island arc volcanics and comagmatic intrusive rocks of the Triassic Nicola Group, within the southern Quesnel Trough terrane. These rocks host several past and currently producing mines elsewhere, including the nearby Copper Mountain deposit (mineral reserve 195 million tonnes grading 0.33% Cu) where mine development is currently underway. The Man/Prime property has excellent access provided by a network of logging and exploration roads.

Under this agreement, subject to a 1.25% NSR (with a C$ 1,250,000 buyout) to Bearclaw Capital Corporation (BRL.TSX.V), GWR can earn a 53% interest in the property by making cash payments totalling C$ 500,000 by January 10, 2010 and by spending C$ 1,000,000 in exploration on the property by December 31, 2009. GWR can earn an additional 7% interest by spending an additional C$ 500,000 by December 31, 2010. Once GWR exercises its option, the option agreement provides for a joint venture agreement to be entered into, with GWR as the initial operator. In the event that one of the joint venture parties is diluted below a 10% interest, that party’s interest is automatically converted into a 2% NSR.

Prior to 2007, episodic exploration by various companies dating back to the 1940s has included geological mapping, soil sampling, ground magnetometer and induced polarization surveys, overburden trenching and diamond drilling (4059 m). This work produced several showings including the Man and Prime occurrences. In 1988, drilling intersected 63m grading 0.70% Cu (DDH 321-01) and 28 m grading 0.33% Cu and 0.57g/t Au (DDH 321-04).

In 2OO7, CDO completed an induced polarization survey, soil sampling and 4,120 metres of drilling, with highlights tabulated below:

Exploration supervised by W.R. Gilmour, P. Geo., Discovery Consultants, a “qualified person” as defined by National Instrument 43-101. Drill core was split, one-half sent to Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd in Vancouver for analysis. A fire assay method was used for Au. QA/QC protocol includes blank, duplicate and standard samples to ensure reliable interpretation of the analytical data.

A thorough review of all historical past and recent exploration has just been completed by internationally recognized expert Dr. Vittorio (Vic) Preto, a specialist in copper-gold alkalic porphyry deposits within the Quesnel Trough, notably the Iron Mask/Afton and Copper Mountain Camps.

GWR Resources is currently mobilizing two drilling rigs to the Man-Prime property and will begin drilling new targets immediately.
