ARMSTRONG, BRITISH COLUMBIA - GWR Resources Inc. (the “Company”) (TSX Venture: GWQ) is very pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Shives, P.Geo. as VP Exploration and a director of the Company. Rob has been a member of the Company’s Advisory Board since 2007.

Rob Shives has 30 years of Canadian and international experience as a geologist/geophysicist. After working in the private sector with a variety of companies exploring for uranium and gold in Canada, he joined the Geological Survey of Canada in Ottawa. For 23 years, Rob conducted field work throughout Canada to demonstrate the value of airborne radiometric surveys to mineral exploration and has published results through numerous papers, posters, workshops and short courses, internationally. He was Head of the (Airborne) Radiation Geophysics Section for several years before returning to the private sector in 2007. Through GamX Inc., he offers exploration consulting services.
The Company has granted Rob an additional 100,000 incentive stock options exercisable for 5 years at a price of $0.17. The last closing price of the Company’s shares on the TSX Venture Exchange was 17 cents.
